what is TCC Kids Ministry?
TCC Kids Ministry is a safe environment for our kids to engage socially with each other and Small Group Leaders, plus grow in their knowledge, relationship and love for Jesus. Our Sunday morning environments are engaging and fun for children of all ages.
Nursery
6 Months-3 years
We have a specially created environment for your infants and toddlers. We are ready and can’t wait to meet them! We understand that your children are learning and growing in amazing ways, and sometimes it is hard to leave mamma. Our nursery volunteers are understanding and patient. If the volunteers feel that it’s necessary or if you request they text you, they will be happy to.
Available during the 10:00 worship service.
Pre-K
3 years-5 years
In the preschool years, a child will form their first impression of God’s love. Preschoolers are active learners so we use a lot of movement and hands on activities to help reinforce the lesson for that day. Our teaching strategy gives preschoolers an everyday faith that will last a lifetime.
Preschoolers will consistently hear these 3 basic truths:
- God made me
- God loves me
- Jesus wants to be my friend forever.

Elementary
K-5th Grade
In the Elementary years, a child will grow in wisdom, faith and friendship. Our curriculum weaves together, video presentations, small group discussions and creative activities based on a clear and simple bottomline each week so kids can remember everyday what matters most.
Ultimately we want them to believe these three basic truths:
I need to make the wise choice
I can trust God no matter what.
I should treat others the way I want to be treated.

Our desire is to come alongside parents and to help with the spiritual formation of their children. We understand that what happens at home is more important than what happens at church. Parents have the biggest influence in their children’s lives. We invite you to stop by the Parent Resource area, located near the Check-in Station, each Sunday for updated resources to use during the week.

Kids Ministry is exciting, sometimes exhausting but always rewarding. I love that I get to be a part of the faith journey these children are on, and come alongside parents and the wonderful volunteers who are passionate about seeing children grow in faith. We have a great group of families at TCC - we're certainly not perfect, we even struggle at times, but we encourage and help one another because we love Jesus and want to live for Him. I encourage you to come and discover this for yourself!

FAQ
Below is some information to help you on your first visit to TCC Kids!

Upon arriving at TCC, come in at the Taylorville Christian Church entrance located on the North side of the parking area. A greeter will be glad to guide you to the Check-in station, or you can follow the signs. But, before you do that, have a doughnut with your family in the Hub. It’s a great place to meet other families.

It’s not necessary to pre-register your child, but we do advise you to arrive 15 minutes prior to service times so that you have time to fill out the first time guest form and get your child into class for the first time.

All volunteers are screened and background checks are conducted.
Only parents or volunteers are allowed into the kids ministry area.
Volunteers make sure the children are released to the correct family member or parent.

Nursery and PreK toys are disinfected after the service. Additionally, toys that have been mouthed are removed from reach of other children throughout the service hour.

When you fill out the guest registration form, please let us know if your child has any allergies or special needs. If you have an infant/toddler, nursery volunteers will label the bottles, cups, pacifiers and bags with your child’s name or initials.
